I have a vivid and happy recollection of a walk around 1955 on Burntstone Crags from Stephen Hill Methodist Church, Sheffield, at the behest of my sister, Gillian. This was the first time I met all of you in our group.  Mike went to collect his new girlfriend Heather, who immediately received an increase in volume from our gathering.

I must say it was interesting to listen to someone with such confidence as we all felt that Mike had a tendency to pause before talking.

I believe that they made a perfect pairing and this was always evident in the times at our annual reunions.
